IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Ensure that you have the 2023 Exam Schedule prepared by the Tanzania National Examinations Council.
  2. Before opening any envelope containing exam questions, make sure you read the subject name on the envelope and verify that it is the correct subject to be taken at that time according to the Exam Schedule.
  3. If there is a conflict between the instructions on the Exam Paper and the Exam Schedule, the instructions on the Exam Paper will be followed.
  4. Candidates with Special Needs (Blind, Partially Sighted, Deaf) should be given an ADDITIONAL 20 MINUTES PER HOUR for Mathematics and 10 MINUTES PER HOUR for other subjects.
  5. The supervisor of candidates with special needs should be an honest expert in their specific needs.
  6. Candidates with PARTIAL SIGHT should be given exam papers and answer sheets with enlarged texts, prepared by the Tanzania National Examinations Council for their use.
  7. Answer sheets for candidates with PARTIAL SIGHT should be placed in separate envelopes. They should not be mixed with those of candidates with normal vision.
  8. Candidates should be directed to: (a) enter the Exam Room half an hour before the exam time and those who arrive more than half an hour after the exam begins will not be allowed in. (b) follow all instructions given by the exam supervisors. (c) write the exam number correctly. (d) ensure that the exam number on the answer sheet matches the exam number on the question paper. (e) not communicate with other candidates in any way. If a candidate has a problem, they should raise their hand to ask for help from the exam supervisor. (f) Candidates who engage in cheating will have their exam results canceled.
